Stay Focused in Lockdown
Lockdown brings challenges for people in training, event preparation, team sports, kids, businesses, schools, families, and for mental health.
We feel for everyone who has been training and working towards a goal and have felt disappointment with cancellations this week.
Especially to our friends in isolation, who have kept moving and connected through Zoom and similar ways. Working outside of their usual routine, to stay on target and keep connected. See you soon.
We were planning to run in the You Yangs running festival this weekend. We were very excited to go for our first time out in that part of the world with friends and family. Unfortunately, not this time.
Instead, we decided to keep our plan as best as possible and ran in our 5km radius for 2 hours. Kept our focus, and really look forward to being able to share the event later this year. We found it hard to get started… and then were extremely happy to have completed it, even through the rain!
The organisers @trailsplus have spent months planning and organising details, and now last minute need to replan to find another date (hopefully to be able to run it later this year). Thank you for your positivity and excellent communication with the trail running community. You have been great.
It is challenging for many friends, family, and local business this week. Thank you to our wonderful friends and community for keeping in touch, staying positive, and reaching out to each other. We hope to keep helping each other find focus, and motivation, especially through the hard days. It often means doing something different, or trying something new, and it is often easier, when you share each step with someone else.
What is your way to keep focus on your goals and stay healthy during this lockdown?
